Wednesday action, as expected, was at The Dungeon & Fez with a total of 24 challenges. It would have been 25 if Crossy’s cue could have made it through the traffic.
A new #2, I believe, with Michael Ha successful in his challenge of Klaudia at Fez (3-2)
The most significant achievement was surely Elwein’s 3 defences of the #1 ranking against David Hannigan, Klaudia & Ab’s. Tremendous perserverance. Even Stitch stayed awake to the bitter end. Earlier, a couple of good wins for Robert Humberson, taking down Duncan Mackay and Richard Kwan. Some excellent potting according to Robert. Duncan seems to be making a habit of getting 2-0 ahead and then not pulling through. A tough match against Richard Kwan saw him go down 2-3, with further losses to Brian, Christer and Ab’s.
Lo Lites had a low light defence against Arthur (1-3) before the young guns took over. In amongst it all was “that man” Gareth Hopkins with his first attempt at breaking into the Top Ten. Unfortunately his challenge to Michael Ha was unsuccesful, but beware, he shall be back.
Others engrossed in the Wednesday pool frenzy were Rakesh, Suresh, Krystabel, Razzi, Chris Ten and Galen Hong. There must surely have been a few slow coaches on the rails this morning.
The Ladder is updated to include results from 17th July, at this point. Highlights is “knackered”, and will catch up with last nights activities as soon as he “un-knackers”.
With the commencement of Ramadhan please note that venues will be closed for two days so please confirm operating hours before tackling the Jakarta traffic mayhem.
