The Glittering Prizes

2 Jun

With the Rupiah in something of a downward spiral, we are relieved that our prizes are set in that currency rather than the US Dollar.

Never mind, you can still buy a few beers with our glittering prizes as the 8 ball players aiming fluid of choice is priced in Rupiahs as well. So, without further ado here are the final results for the May Ladder.

The Tangga

As last month we have had once again to wait a little for the final denouement as Klaudia won her two rung #1 confirmation Challenges. Successful in both, she sits at the top of the Ladder for the sceond successive month.

Interestingly, David Hannigan is making the #5 rung his own having occupied it three out of four months so far, while Mrs Hannigan gets the 150,000 Rupiah 5th prize once agaain :-)

Performance League Table

The most  insightful competition  of all in the view of some, not least Paul Cross.

Winner this month is Alex McMillan on 89%, with recent JPL Singles winner Mark Mulvany not too far behind on 83% with a fine 10-2 record while Geoff Culshaw finished third with 76%, coming good despite a Jungle interrupted May - and a crook shoulder for the end of month bean feast.

Most Improved

Jim Noller was pipped at the post by the late charging Ab’s Daoudi who found the journey up the Tangga rather tougher than expected but, winning twice as many as he lost got him up 11 rungs in a couple of weeks and into the Top 10 again, so well done Ab’s! As for Toby. he will have to wait another month at least for prize stardom – and in another category, very hard to win most improved from rung #7 of course.

Well done all, the cheques are in the post or, if you are not possessed of a Rupiah bank account, then Highlights will be carrying at today’s FAB Finals Day at Everest.
