A relatively quiet evening after the excesses of the previous, sees two successful defences by Rakesh SRM with that against Suresh being a rather tight 3-2 which was, remarkably, their first ever Challenge. Suresh can be expected to keep knocking on the door.
Later at Aphro, Mark ”Blind Bat” Sims went down 3-0 to everyone’s favourite Italian, again in a first ever meeting. Highlights hastens to add that the “Blind Bat” appellation is that of Mark himself and not one of our inventions; we would never be so unkind!
With less than a week to go to the end of the Ladder Month it is well worth while looking at the Performance League Table (PLT) as you will see here.
The PLT is the one that really matters according to Tuan Cross of course and the Ladder itself just a piece of window dressing!
A minimum of 5 Challenges (up or down) is of course required to qualify for the monthly PLT Prize Awards and there are plenty of Players still in the hunt this month, even Geoff Culshaw is a possible with 80% locked in and the rest of the top contenders all committed to a busy programme before the end of the month. Watch this space.
