At Aphro, a rather earlier start to the Ladder’s business day than usual as Artha Doyle came back from 2-0 down in his Challenge of Greg Wilcox to prevail 3-2 at the death. Quote from Greg that bears repetition, “I wasn’t used to being up 2-0 and not having any pressure”. Fat ladies and singing comes to mind!
Two fine wins in the early evening in The Dungeon by Suresh Lingam, firstly a 3-0 in three very close frames over tough-to-beat Robert Humberson, before seeing off a Challenge from the skilful Arthur Arriola. Great stuff, Suresh!
A Matt McGowan celebrating his recent selection for the Jakarta All Stars made a 3-1 succesful Challenge of Chris Ten later in the evening in The Dungeon but then went down to a player in Brian Capel, who has a not dissimilar hard charging game to his own, and by the same score.
Finally, it has not escaped out attention that the Samsung Note is steadily gaining the affection of Tanggans as they renew their mobile phones. Surely not unconnected with the stunning presntation of the Ladder that it provides?!
